That Item GOV 2019-032, dated February 5, 2019, regarding 2019 Council Remuneration, be received; and That subject to deliberations in the affirmative, that effective January 1, 2019, Council remuneration be established as follows: Average Member Municipality Compensation County of Simcoe Current Compensation Adjustment for Elimination of 1/3 Tax Exemption County of Simcoe New Compensation County Councillor $28,952 $14,210 12.04% $1,711 $15,921 Deputy Warden $28,952 $43,276 18.38% $7,951 $51,227 Warden $28,952 $64,921 23 .65% $15,353 $80,274 That annual increases for the compensation components for elected officials be matched with the non-union employees Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) each year; and That an overall Ontario comparative review of council compensation be presented to a future Governance Committee meeting.
