That Item EDS 2025-208, dated August 12, 2025, regarding an application to establish a Regional Technology Development Site, be received; and That, subject to a successful grant from the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network, the Warden and County Clerk execute a Regional Technology Development Site funding program agreement to support new technology developments in Simcoe County in the automotive/electric vehicle and ground transportation sectors from 2025-2029; and That an allocation of $520,000 over four years from the Economic Development and Planning Reserve, to leverage up to $1.2 million from the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN) to establish the Regional Technology Development Site of Simcoe County, Barrie and Orillia, be approved.
