Accessibility Advisory Committee

That the agenda for the November 19, 2020, meeting of the Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee be approved as circulated.

That the following items having been given due consideration be received:

That the Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee, on behalf of the Township of Springwater, receive the follow-up presentation dated November 19, 2020, by Brodie & Associates Landscape Architects Inc. on behalf of Midhurst Rose Alliance Inc. regarding recreational trail development in the Midhurst Heights Development; and, That the Committee supports the trail being 1.5 m wide with a limestone surface.

That Item AAC 2020-366, dated November 19, 2020, regarding the Wiidookdaadiwin Site Development, be received; and That staff proceed with the trail design, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, as outlined in Item AAC 2020-366.

That Item AAC 2020-355, dated November 19, 2020, regarding updates to the Accessibility Facility Review Checklist, be received; and That the suggested updates to the Accessibility Facility Review Checklist, as generally outlined in Item AAC 2020-355, be approved, w ith the addition of the following question:  Is there a designated medication administration site with a sink for handwashing?

That the draft 2021-2025 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan for the Township of Springwater be received and reviewed by the Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee; and, That the Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee endorses the Township of Springwater’s Multi-Year Accessibility Plan as presented.

That the November 19, 2020, meeting of the Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee be adjourned at 11:18 a.m.
